4.2.2.1 Age requirements

A requirement for being issued a BEG certificate is that you have reached the

age of 14. You can take the exam 3 months before your 14th birthday.

4.2.2.2 Confidentiality declaration

In connection with the test, you must sign a confidentiality declaration.

4.2.2.3 Maintenance of the certificate

A requirement for holders of radio certificates is a valid language assessment.

A language assessed as level 6 is valid indefinitely. Level 5 requires retesting
every six years, and level 4 mandates retesting every four years.

Under the new regulations, if you are unable to provide documentation

demonstrating use of the certificate's privileges within the preceding ten years,

your certificate will be rendered invalid. Should this occur, you must reacquire

the certificate before resuming its associated privileges.

4.2.2.4 Service documents

The following documents must be carried in connection with the use of a radio

station:

1. Permit to establish and operate the station

2. Radio operator's radio certificate

3. Aircraft Journey Logbook

4. Frequency list

5. Other documents deemed necessary for the performance of the service at

the radio.
