4.5.3.1 AFIS

If you are going to fly from a place with FIZ and AFIS service, you must call

Information, e.g. Stauning Information for departure information.

AFIS then gives you information about other traffic and runway in use as well as

QNH and wind.

4.5.4 Restricted area

You need to check the NOTAM and find out whether a restricted area is active

or not.

If the area is not active, you can fly through it without further.

If the area is announced as active via NOTAM, you can ask the ATS unit that has

the responsibility for the area and possibly be allowed to fly through the area if
there are no activities.

4.5.5 RMZ – Radio Mandatory Zone

If there is an area that is an RMZ (Radio Mandatory Zone), you may only fly into

it if you have radio contact with the ATS unit that provides radio service in the

area.

If you are flying anything other than VFR day flight, e.g. VFR Night flight, VFR

Flight without ground visibility or IFR flight, you must have 2-way radio contact

at all times.
