I Am Happy to Be a Volunteer

I was often thinking how I could help the orphans in our town.
Unexpectedly for myself, having joined KFC I learnt about a won-
derful charity program “Generation Choice” which needed vol-
unteers. I joined it and decided to ask the question which had
been torturing me for so long. My first visit together with the
company volunteers was to the kids in wheel-chairs. Having talk-
ed to them, having listened to their problems, I got imbued and
understood that I had made the right choice. I would like to bring
at least something good, some joy and delight into their lives.
And I also learnt that a Rehabilitation Center for people using
wheel-chairs was opened in our town. We can be proud of that!
But not all the kids with disabilities can get into this Center, not
to mention the orphans.
I have been working for KFC for 3 years already. During that
time, I have become the leader of volunteering, and together
with the team we have done lots of good deeds. And also, we
have been taking active part in the charity program “Generation
Choice” because we understand its value. We provide the kids
with an opportunity for social adaptation and skills that will be of
use to them in their adult life in future.
In 2018 we took part in the “KFC Marathon of Good Deeds”
and delivered 143 good deeds, thus helping 143 persons, and this
means a lot!
I am very glad that I have become part of the team delivering
good deeds and that I can contribute something good into this
world.
