Volunteering Is Everywhere

Everyone shall be happy, but very few people do find hap-
piness. At some point of my life I understood that I should give
positive emotions to other people. I was volunteering for a long
time during my Institute studies. I was managing a donorship
day aimed to collect blood for transfusion, and many students
were willing to help. We also had an orphanage under our pa-
tronage. Together with my co-students we were visiting the kids
each holiday, arranging some outdoor activities and picnics for
them. There is nothing more delightful than to see happiness in
children’s eyes. On May 9 we organized the visits to the war vet-
erans.
After joining the KFC company, I felt happy that here I could
help the society as well. We gathered a team of volunteers. We
organized active games with the kids from the families with low
income. I remember one vivid moment – the eyes of a boy with
whom we were making some souvenirs, his brightness and pro-
activeness. We came to see the children and immediately distrib-
uted the kids into pairs. Sergey was playing in a pair with me and
he was so much engaged into the game that it seemed to me
I received more emotions from our meeting than he did!
I was delighted already because somewhere there were peo-
ple who were getting happier with our assistance. Thus, we got
a team of volunteers. We have been helping to make people hap-
pier in our area: we participated in the Marathon of Good Deeds,
helped single senior people with the apartment cleaning, pre-
sented books and toys to large families, collected money to buy
food for the shelter for homeless animals.
In perspective we also plan to organize visits to orphanages,
to hold contests and competitions for the kids (moreover, we
have prepared the costumes for that already). I hope that very
soon our volunteering will be helping people even at a greater
extent and our plans will get embodied into life and the dreams
of those whom we help will come true.
