“This is where I leave you.” Miaowed the cat. “I must get

back to those yummy mice!”

And with that, she slunk away into the trees leaving Baby

and Molly watching the children walking in the tops of the

trees in amazement.

After a long while, Molly thought she saw Daniel. She tried

to shout, but the boy didn’t hear.

“Daniel’s Deaf, silly!” said Baby. “Did you forget?”

“Oh no! I did!” said Molly. “How else can we get his

attention? He’s all the way up there and we are down on the

ground!”

“Can I help you, ladies?” came a small voice.

Molly and Baby turned to find a small, hairy, creature with a

big, bushy tail.

“I can take you up to the top, if you are feeling brave?”

suggested the squirrel.
