MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN, BOARD OF GOVERNORS
Throughout the school year, we have worked hard to make MBSSKL the first choice school for our local community, helped by strong links with our partner primary schools, superb facilities and amenities.
Providing good-quality education and making contribution to nation building has been the cornerstone of MBSSKL. Our teachers know that when they can ignite curiosity, students seek to understand. The energy and excitement of seeking new knowledge can overcome hesitation and fuel exploration into a subject and the worlds beyond it.
Education opens minds to many areas people have not been exposed to before, and the classroom is often seen as the place for exchange of ideas, building social skills and developing creative thinking. Though this is true for education, there is much more to what education can do for the individual.
More than the grades our students achieved - education helps to develop our perspective of the world we live in and pushes us to think conceptually about many different subjects. As we process the information we receive every day, we make conclusions and inferences based on our knowledge and experience, leading us to better understand the real world.
Our school-enhanced curriculum endeavors to harness students’ talents so that they may achieve their progression in their field of interest, and eventually contribute to the society. At the same time, our school utilizes pedagogies that focus on developing learners as active participants and even leaders in the classroom.
Sports enrichment programmes and athletic pursuits have taken our students beyond school and district games levels. MBSSKL students’ participation in school districts levels have grown year by year.
The long-range goal of MBSSKL curricula is to act as an integrative force in society by communicating values that unite and benefit the society.
It has been yet another eventful year, and this yearbook captures many of the special moments ingrained in our own hearts and memories. Our heartiest congratulations and thanks to the editorial board and to all those who contributed to the success of this publication.
On behalf of the board of governors, I would like to thank everyone for his or her effort and commitment towards the advancement of MBSSKL through the years.
