EDINBURGH - The Balmoral. Simply the best in
Edinburgh. When it comes to five-star hotels in
Edinburgh, this one is tops for service, style, comfort and
location. The property was inaugurated in 1902 as the
North British Hotel, a railway hotel. It is situated in the
very heart of the city on Princes Street, in the southern
part of the Georgian New Town, just steps from the Old
Town. Owned and operated by prestigious hotelier Sir
Rocco Forte, the property features 188 rooms. The décor
adds a contemporary twist to the classic detailing of the
more than 100-year-old structure. Number One is the
hotel’s richly-decorated, Michelin-star restaurant, regarded as one of the best in Scotland. Service is
a Rocco Forte trademark and this wonderful property does not disappoint. We particular favor the
upper floor rooms with a view of iconic Edinburgh Castle. Enjoy!

ARGYLL – Isle of Eriska. This 26-room, country
house property is situated just 30 min from Oban in a
beautiful strech of Argyll that is accessible by its own
private bridge. The Big House was built in 1884 by a
branch of the Stewarts of Appin. The common areas
of the main house for the most part are quite
traditional, but you’ll find a good measure of
contemporary style in the guest rooms and in the
dining room, which is a Michelin 1-star restaurant.
