Esteemed Gift Societies
Fran Payne Society
Fran Payne became the CEO of Jack & Jill Center in 1969 after she
recognized the need for safe, dependable child care for working parents
and took action. Under her leadership, the Center went through two
prominent expansions. The number of children served at the Center
increased from 50 to 170, and the following support programs were
added: the food and clothing bank, a lending library, a job resource area,
and the Family Program. Helping at-risk children and families in the
community was her lifetime ministry, and she always lent a ‘hand up’ to
those in need. The Fran Payne Society was created upon her retirement
in honor of her life-long dedication to the Jack & Jill Center. The Society
unites generous community members as they carry on Fran's legacy and
enable Jack & Jill Center to meet the most urgent needs of our children
and families.
