Friends Signature Events

15th Annual MEDNAX Flip Flops on the Docks

On Saturday, September 12, the Friends of Jack & Jill Center hosted the
15th Annual Virtual MEDNAX Flip Flops on the Docks, presented by the
550 Building. This beach-themed soirée featured live-streamed
entertainment by The Weedline Band, and custom-curated “At-Home
VIP Party Kits”, sponsored by The Macdonald Family, featuring tropical
style food and themed drinks catered by the Lauderdale Yacht Club!
Event emcee, Cindy Sessoms, showcased fabulous travel packages,
restaurant gift certificates, and sporting packages in an online auction
with over 75 luxurious items. Thanks to co-chairs Vanessa Rogge, Kate
Murphy-Voltz, and Kristen Harlow the night was a wild success raising
$235,000 to provide scholarships and support for children and families of
Jack & Jill Center.

19th Annual STILES Light Up Downtown

Making spirits bright! On Tuesday, December 1, the spirit of the holidays
came alive in The Plaza on Las Olas at The Stiles Corporation 19th Annual
Light Up Downtown, presented by Joe & Michele Maiuro! Guests
enjoyed culinary delights by The Restaurant People with tastes from
several of their South Florida venues including Boatyard, Township, S3 -
Sun Surf Sand, and Yolo. Guests also enjoyed flowing beverages and a
dessert bar while enjoying live entertainment from juggling holiday stilt
walkers. Stiles CEO, Ken Stiles, flipped the switch on the “Stiles Light-
O-Matic” to light the magnificent 30-foot tree in the center of the plaza.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, this event raised $95,000! Thank you
