Foundation Spotlight

Jack & Jill Center is fortunate to be supported by a number of incredible
community organizations who believe in our mission to end the cycle of
poverty through strong educational programming and supportive family
services.

This year Jack & Jill Center is casting our Foundation Spotlight on The
Jim Moran Foundation as a longtime partner of our Family Program. In
2020, The Jim Moran Foundation awarded a $50,000 grant for the
program, as well as a generous $10,000 emergency response grant for
our general operation as we continued to serve our families through the
COVID-19 pandemic.

Founded by automotive pioneer Jim Moran, the mission of The Jim
Moran Foundation is to improve the quality of life for the youth and
families of Florida through the support of innovative programs and
opportunities that meet the ever-changing needs of the community. The
Foundation has invested $170 million in education, elder care, family
strengthening, and youth transitional living initiatives since its inception in
2000 with efforts currently focused in Br oward, Palm Be ach, and Duval
counties.

Jack & Jill Center’s comprehensive Family Program is designed to
strengthen low-income, at‐risk families by providing intensive parent
education, individual and family therapy, a food, and clothing bank, and an
emergency assistance fund. Through this program, families increase
financial stability, maintain employment, achieve job advancement,
decrease the risk for incidences of abuse and neglect, and foster their
child’s healthy growth and development. As a result, parents gain
confidence, children perform and behave better at home and in the
classroom, and families function at higher levels of stability.
