Jerome (Jerry) Van Brunt

I have been happily married for 46 years to my high school sweetheart Diane Lynn
Hetherington. Diane has kept me on the right path all these years! We have two sons: Dr.
Brian Van Brunt, (Manchester, NH), vice president of a risk management company,
NCHERM and Rev. Kevin Van Brunt, (Center Tuftonboro, NH), CEO, Camp Sentinel
Ministries. We have 7 wonderful, bright and energetic grandchildren aged from 6 to 16.

My life changed in 1984 when I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I
know God is alive and in control because without Him I would not be here to write this
the way I lived before I met Him. My education includes Monmouth University,
Fairleigh Dickinson University and the College of American Pathologists. I retired from
Fort Monmouth as Chief, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Services in 1997 on
an early out due to BRAC (Dept of Defense — Base Realignment and Closure). We
moved to the White Mountains of NH where we lived for 17 years. We relocated to our
second home in Eastern North Carolina on the SOBX (southern outer banks) in August,
2014.

We have been involved in FCA ministry, CBS ministry, small group ministry and Bible
teaching at our various churches for over 30 years. My interests include family, biking,
hiking, downhill & cross country skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, weightlifting, tennis,
beach walking and studying Scriptures. I am a 6-year cancer survivor, which I attribute
only to the Grace of God. I am looking forward to seeing all of my classmates again this
