CONCLUSION
Duff spent his post G n’ R years completely reinventing himself. Today,
he’s still a professional musician, playing and touring with Loaded——
and occasionally with super-group Velvet Revolver. But he’s also an
avid cyclist, marathon runner, jiu-jitsu expert, and devoted husband and
father of two.
McKagan, 48, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with
Guns n’ Roses on Saturday, April 14 2012

music is almost a false pedestal to sit upon. There are
no statistics in music and art. No band or artist is
"better" than another. Music comes from a primal
place. Thin air. Dreams. And a lot of really hard damn
work.”

2012 also saw McKagan receive his High School diploma during the
Class Of 2012 graduation ceremony at Seattle’s Roosevelt High School.
McKagan had previously dropped out of the school while in 10th grade:
"Finally got my high school diploma today. I did the not-
so-popular 48-year plan” tweeted Duff.
Perhaps the closing is best encapsulated in the following quotes:
“The 1988-model McKagan, hammering out the
bassline to ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ would barely
recognise the mountain-biking, sober, happily married
