Over a year prior to the launch of Meridian Rock McKagan had met
Andy Bottomley, a British investor and former banker and the two hit it
off immediately, so much so that they along with Ian Watson another
professional investor decided to form Meridian Rock and McKagan and
Bottomley started interviewing money managers in both Europe and the
U.S.
