Day 2





                  The  2   day  commenced  with  Ms.  Jayanti  Tambe,  Executive  Director  of  UCLA
                        nd
                  Early Care and Education, engaging the teachers with various activities to show

                  that a teacher can think creatively only if he/she brings out the child within him/
                  her. She emphasized , “what makes you different is not the way you teach but the
                  way  you  think.”  Dr.  Anuradha  Vikranth,  Founder  &  Managing  Trustee,  Drishti

                  Art  Foundation  highlighted  the  importance  of  incorporating  dance  into  the

                  curriculum so as to enable students to mature physically, emotionally, socially, and
                  cognitively. Dr. Leonie Baldacchino, Director of The Edward de Bono Institute for
                  the Design and Development of Thinking at the University of Malta, who holds a

                  Ph.D.  in  Entrepreneurship  from  Warwick  Business  School  (UK),  an  M.A.  in
                  Creativity and Innovation (Distinction) and a B.Psy.(Hons.) from the University of

                  Malta,  opined  that    creativity  is    at  the  heart  of    developing  and  building  any
                  business.  She  stressed  on  application  of  divergent  thinking  i.e.  generation  of

                  multiple  responses  or solutions  to  a particular  stimulus or  problem, to  everyday
                  objects.  Shri  R  Balakrishnan,  Senior  IAS  Officer  in  the  cadre  of  Odisha  spoke

                  about the important role a teacher plays in a student’s life. Ms. Shanthi Menon
                  from Deans Academy, Mr. Kannan Bharadwaj , Ullas Ponnadi,  Dr. Tairo Nomura

                  and Dr. M Srinivasan also shared their ideas.
                  The two days’ workshop changed the perception of the participants;  now they can

                  look at familiar things with a fresh eye,  examine problems with an open mind,
                  learn from their own mistakes and use imagination to explore new possibilities !
