Many famous personalities, who were either born with disability or met with tragic
incidents, have made a place for themselves in the world. Their never-say-die attitude
has served as an undying inspiration and motivation for all.

The students of DPSBN had a rare opportunity
to meet such special people, who by defying all
odds have turned the spotlight on themselves.
In an interactive session with Divyanshu
Ganatra, the first visually impaired person in
India to paraglide, and Shalini Saraswathi a
quadruple amputee who represented India at
the 2016 Summer Paralympics, the students
discovered that grit and determination can go a
long way in achieving the impossible.
Also present during the session was Mr. Arun
Cherian, founder of Rise Legs, the World’s first
Prosthetic legs made of cane. An advanced
robotics engineer, he left his PhD in the US to
solve the riddle of affordability of prosthetics
and gave hundreds of disabled people a chance
to be mobile.
