CMCA

The initiation of the ‘Civic Soldiers Civic Club’ in the school is yet another successful
endeavour of the CMCA this year. A CMCA child knows that "change begins with me". Children
have the potential to be agents of change and can influence those around them and can play an
important part in making the campaign a success, with its mission through fun activities, debates,
          discussions and assignments.

Many activities were initiated by the CMCA to kindle and nurture active citizenship and
inculcate democratic values in children. “Nurture Nature for a better Future” was one such
initiation. The message on the need to conserve nature was excellently conveyed through a skit
where the protagonist was ‘ECO Friendly Ganesha’.

The Team for Clean & Green Project

“Clean & Green is our Perfect Dream” was another project wherein our students
conducted a survey on issues related to Garbage Disposal ,Cleanliness , Traffic at Bengaluru Cross
Area near Yelahanka. The findings of the students were quite satisfactory and we realized that
there is scope for improvement in the conditions prevailing.

The Pourakarmika Day was celebrated on 1st
September 2016. On this day our next project “There is
dignity in all labours” was emphasized. The bus
drivers, housekeeping staff and other support staff were
felicitated for their service. The event started with the
lighting of the lamp by one of the senior most
housekeeping staff followed by an array of entertainment
programmes by the students. All the Pourakarmikas were
served lunch by the students. They thanked and blessed
all the students for acknowledging their role in the school
                                                   and making them feel special.
