Hoisting the tricolour
If there is a nation where each bud blooms
into its true colours, where each day is a
celebration of unity, harmony and
synthesis, that nation is India. On the
occasion of the 70 year of the Indian
th
Independence, DPSBN was extremely
delighted to felicitate the students’
grandparents who are essential members of
our families and communities and also to
salute and honour all the brave men who
fought for our country. There was an array
of dance programmes, patriotic songs,
poems and some powerful lines that touched
everyone’s heart. A number of inter-house
competitions were also held.
It is our conviction that the special
relationship between grandparents and
their grandchildren are the most cherished,
unique and unmatched. The strong values
and ethics that they pass onto their
grandchildren is the first step towards
building of an excellent character.
School Band welcoming the guests
In keeping with the tradition, DPS,
Bangalore North gave a wonderful
opportunity to all grandparents to have fun,
play games, spend quality time and
experience the special bonding with their
grandchildren. Participation certificates
were given to all grandparents.
