Evangelism
Because there is no hospitality team this year, the
Evangelism Team is asking our Sunday morning
Greeters to help in making our visitors feel welcomed.
Please familiarize yourself with the following remind-
ers and contact Sharon, Lyle or Vesta with any ques-
tions. These guidelines will also be posted next to the
usher guidelines on the bulletin board.
"Greeter" Reminders
Arrive at church by 8:30 a.m. - Greeting is done in pairs
Assist those in need of entering the church.
When a visitor or a member whose name you do not know arrives, introduce yourself.
(It's ok if you don't know or remember everyone's' name, we all forget- just introduce
yourself) If you are unsure if an individual is a first time visitor, ask.
If a visitor, take them to the Guest Book and ask them to sign in.
Use your own judgement: If they seem open to conversation, engage and take them
over and introduce to pastor. Ask them to join us for "coffee and fellowship."
After the service, introduce them to other members.
Give visitors a "Welcome Packet" along with a current copy of the Traveler before they
leave. The packets are kept in top row of mailboxes.
If they have children, ask if the children would like to visit our Sunday School. Take
them downstairs, introduce them to Wendy.
Again, use your own judgement. We don't want to overwhelm our visitors...just make
them feel comfortable.
We are a welcoming and friendly congregation and as Greeters, your smiling faces
portray the first impression on Sunday mornings! Thanks for being a Greeter!!
