Father’s Day crafting ideas
Hand-made card
Needed: White construction paper, paint, paint brush,
glue sticks and a copy of this poem-
God gave me these hands so small,
To hug my daddy, big and tall.
God gave me these hands so sweet,
To hold going down the street.
God gave little hands to me,
To wrap around my daddy’s knee.
One way I show my dad I care, is to fold my hands and say a prayer.
I say “God please bless my dad,
Cause he’s the best a kid could have.”
Fold construction paper in half, have the kids paint their hand with craft paint
and press it palm down on the cover of the card. On the inside of the card glue
the Daddy poem. The kids can color the rest of the card.

Have the kid’s purchase a new hanky for dad and wrap a box of Good and Plenty
candy in the middle (or dad’s favorite candy)
-“Mug it” with a new coffee mug
Purchase a ceramic or stainless coffee mug and have the kids decorate it with
paint pens that are able to withstand washing in hot soapy water which can be
found at Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Joann Fabrics. They can add a cute saying or
