3. Train Your Mind to Focus on Your
Bidding
Have you ever noticed that your mind runs
amok most of the time? It thinks what it
wants to think, usually dis-empowering
thoughts. We are programmed to see the
negative, so we can get prepared. It’s a
survival mechanism.
These exercises are very simple, but not
necessarily easy, and have been invaluable
to me and many of my clients.
1) For 30 seconds, ONLY focus on VERTICAL
lines you see around you. Ignore the rest.
Then, for 30 seconds, ONLY focus on
HORIZONTAL lines you see around you.
Can you keep your focus for 30 seconds?
If not, start with 5 seconds, and progress
in increments.
2) Listen to a piece of music. ONLY focus on
one instrument or a voice, for as long as
you can keep that focus. Did you go
through the whole piece, or where you
