Here’s what God said regarding Lucifer –
“You were blameless in your ways from the day you were
created until iniquity was found in you. By the abundance

of your trade you were internally filled with violence, and
you sinned; therefore I have cast you as profane from the
mountain of God. And I have destroyed you, O covering
cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Your heart was
lifted up because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom
by reason of your splendor……”

There were four stages of Lucifer’s rebellion.
STEP #1 – VANITY (which means pride)
“Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty;
you corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor”
(Ezekiel 28: 17).

Lucifer’s heart was lifted up with pride because of his
beauty and his position. He looked into the mirror and said,
“I deserve more. I deserve to be above the angels. I deserve
to be equal to God.” He was filled with terrible, sickening
pride. Slowly his wisdom was corrupted. His light was
turned to darkness.

STEP # 2 – PROFANITY (which means familiarity)
“Therefore I have cast you as profane (familiar) from the
mountain of God” (Ezekiel 28: 16).

Because of Lucifer’s pride and the corruption of his wisdom,
he began to treat the sacred things which God had placed
above and below him as something common. He forgot that
