MODE OF DELIVERY
The program will be purely online. The instructors will make video
tutorials and host them on a private portal where the trainees will
access using a password that will be shared to them at the start of the
class. There will also be weekly live video classes on Duo or any other
media agreed and communicated in advance, which every trainee
can access from their digital devices.
There will be three monthly meetings with the trainees in locations
that will be agreed upon based on the number of trainees in a region.
The physical meetings will be aimed at assessing the progress of the
trainees and sharing teaching and learning resources that will be used during classroom
delivery.
The trainees will be placed in groups of five, representing the different teaching subjects
(Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Social and religious studies, and science). The concept
of group work is to allow the ease of learning and development of teaching and learning
materials by combining different teaching experiences.
COURSE ASSESSMENT
This course does not offer exams, instead, there is a series of projects that the trainees
undertake. The course is focused on developing and nurturing the participants’ ICT
“Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning.”
