competencies for effective teaching and learning. Within the three month period, the
trainees will have monthly assessments of their programs with the instructors. The last
part of the assessment will examine the programs that the teachers will have developed
for teaching Grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 at the start of the new term.

The success of the program will be determined by the effectiveness and relevance of the
teaching programs the trainees will have made at the end of the course. These programs
will be assessed by our team of experts who include the curriculum support officers and
the trainers of early childhood as well as the schools’ quality assurance team. At the end
of the course, the trainees will need to have made at least one program in each of the
teaching subjects.
The final projects will be branded and published by the ESL team and given to the
trainees.

COURSE COST
The entire course will cost Kshs 5,000. Trainees can pay in full or in three monthly
instalments that includes a down payment of Kshs 2,000, followed by two instalments
of Kshs.1,500 each which should be completed before the final assessment phase of the
teaching and learning materials.
