CHILD ONLINE SAFETY AND DATA SECURITY
In this information age, the internet has become paramount for social, economic, and
educational activities. It is needless to point out that the internet offers a myriad of
opportunities for teachers and learners, contributing to their general well-being. However,
the same internet has also been proved to amplify various risks that have the ability of
undermining the well-being of children.

In this regard, teachers need to be on the frontline in advocating for safer online
environments for children while at home, during holidays and during school days.
This module will equip the teachers with information on how to guide learners into
safer online behaviors. The teachers will learn new learning/play programs that can be
recommended to parents for their children during non-school days.

TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCES
For teachers in grades 1, 2, 3, and 4, developing teaching and learning materials is highly
essential for their classroom teaching. This module will expose the trainees on various
approaches they can use in improvising materials to supplement their teaching.

The main part of this module is for the teachers to learn how to develop ICT teaching
and learning programs that are highly interactive, fun, and insightful. At the end of the
course, the teachers, working in groups, will generate single games/programs for
each teaching subject in those respective grades.
