Tags and Swipes, Spring 2020
Northern Voices A Cappella Chorus
Like everyone, we are sad we can’t be together in person at the moment, but it will make our first
rehearsal back all the more special! Luckily, we managed to get in some fun times during February and
early March, which included welcoming two new members. We doubled our tenor section with the
lovely Tracy, and we added our fabulous bass, Ally, daughter of our bass section leader Lynda. We are
so lucky to have such talented new voices and personalities!
For Valentine’s Day we celebrated each other by writing positive words on hearts that were taped to our
backs. We love each other every day, but this was such a nice visualization of the love and appreciation
we have for one another!
On March 5, we were honored to perform at the Manchester YWCA for their International Women’s
Day event. How inspiring to see so many women lifting each other up! We were proud to be a part of it.
While we wait, we are still in contact by email, phone, and video. We continue to work on new music
and concentrate on staying healthy. We can’t wait to get back into the swing of things and sing about
how happy we are to be together again!
