Merrimack Valley A Cappella (continued)

At our cabaret in May, we ran our contest package and several other songs and shared the stage with
guest quartets Illuminate, Carried Away, Accidental Charm, Synchrony, Maine Squeeze and, from
Barbershop Harmony Society, Summer Street. Our silent auction this year had a crafts theme, and
numerous members, MVA and Region 1 friends and local artisans donated hand-made gifts to boost our
fundraising efforts.

At our post-contest party, we installed our new Management Team: Sally Jeffery and Carol Smolenski
(co-directors), Bev Barteaux and Kathleen Rekart (Finance), Kim Holland (Events), Michelle
Dominijianni (Team Coordinator), Tricia Schwartz (Facilities), Linda Green (Membership), Beth Ducot
and Tricia Smith (Communications), Janet Mulligan (Performance) and AC Kao (Marketing).

Heading into the summer, we’re learning a new holiday song, reviewing our repertoire to circle back to a
few old favorites and looking forward to a performance in Lowell at the assisted living community where
co-director Carol Smolenski works as a music therapist. And of course, we are beginning to plan for
Harmony Classic 2024!
