        Sound of New England Chorus

        Greetings Region 1,

We hope you all are well and enjoyed a wonderful Holiday season.

SONE has been busy with coaching ... and performances finally!

In September, we had a coaching "under glass" session with Ryan Heller on Sunday morning at Fall
Regional’s “Colors of Harmony”. It was pretty intimidating to be coached on a new contest ballad in
front of quite a large regional audience!! But the audience support was amazing and Ryan put us at ease
right away ... so we now have lots of great changes to apply to "All the Way"!

In October, we had a fabulous day with Debra Lynn who introduced us to the Bel Canto method of
singing (used by Tony Bennett - which explains his very long singing career). We can't wait to work with
        her again!

We had our very first post-Covid public performance on Sun., Oct 22. We sang outdoors on a chilly
Fall day at the final Farmers Market of the season at Blue Back Square in West Hartford. It was at the
same time as a family Halloween event, so tons of costumed families walked past as we were
performing. (Focus exercise!!!) A fun and festive time was had by all!

We went back to West Hartford Center on 11/30 to kick off our holiday performances by taking the
stage on "The Showmobile" parked at the corner of Farmington Ave & LaSalle Rd. We were
fortunate that it was a fairly warm evening to sing outside at the annual Holiday Stroll event.
