        Valley Chords Chorus

The Valley Chords Chorus is going strong! Despite a revitalization program which was rudely
interrupted by COVID we are getting our feet back under us and looking forward to 2024.

Three of us attended the Four Part Frenzy in Northampton and had a lot of fun singing with other
members of the region! We also really appreciated the tag learning tracks and used them to work some
tags in our rehearsals – Thanks Angie ♥️

The holiday season proved a challenge for us with planned absences, travel and illness all cutting into our
already small numbers, but we pulled off a well received performance at the Joseph Smith Memorial and
were enthusiastically invited back for next year. During the holiday season we were visited by a potential
future director who has been working with us intermittently over the past 6 weeks (keeping our fingers
        crossed!)

Perhaps our most exciting news is that our membership has been growing. We welcomed Virginia
Cochran into our group over the summer and Tricia Schwartz, a long term member of MVA, has
relocated to VT. She has been regularly attending our rehearsals since the summer with the exception of
a few weeks in July when the roads were washed out. We have been greatly appreciative of her amazing

energy and beautiful baritone voice. During the Holiday season Jen Kravitz came as a guest – helped
carry the lead section through the holiday performance (as one of our few leads who managed to remain
healthy!) and passed her audition the first week in January!
