Post Road Chorus

Post Road Chorus of Worcester, MA is happy to be back, rehearsing in-person, since June 15. All
members are fully vaccinated, and we feel safe about our choice to come together to sing. Our first
rehearsals, outside at MaryEllen’s house and inside at Andrea’s house (with close to 100% participation!),
were a testament to our commitment to each other in friendship and song, through the pandemic.

We tried a car rehearsal in May, but we were a bit disappointed in how it went. It certainly was an
interesting experience, but one we hope not to have to repeat any time soon.

For the June Regional weekend, we created a video of Happy Together, a reflection of the mutual feeling
of being our best when we are with each other. Thank you, Andrea, for your technical assistance with
this second project. Everyone came together to help with individual audio/visual recordings to ensure
that anyone who wished to be a part of this was able to be. A special thank you goes out to Meg, Faith,
and Audrey…

Our director, Ray, challenged us during our virtual rehearsals to continue to learn new music, practice our
existing rep, and be a part of our chorus - however we felt most comfortable. Many members were
present virtually every week or close to it, and each of us felt comfortable expressing our thoughts and
concerns, which were received and addressed respectfully.

We’ve seen a few new, interested faces and voices at rehearsals lately, and have at least one new member,
a positive direction for our little chorus.

We continue to do the best we can, keeping in mind restrictions and choices, as we move forward and
hope for a steady return to normalcy. Wishing you all health and song!
