Merrimack Valley Chorus (continued)

Now we face another challenge. Late in June, our fearless leader of nearly nineteen years – Eileen Gioe –
decided to step down as director, and return to the risers as a singer. We are sure glad that we are not
losing her altogether. It will be fun to sing with Eileen as part of the chorus – BUT that means we are
called on to start up a Director Search. Our first effort is to document “who we are, as MVA” and what
we are looking for in new leadership. So much has changed for everyone! This is a task which we hope
will help to bring the members back together as a “family” and reinforce our shared values.

Difficulties like these are just that –“difficulties.” What is important to MVA is our members and our
love for singing. That is what will make our Fall start up so much stronger.
