                  milk, butter, and ½ cup (120 ml) water and bring the mixture to a
                  simmer over medium heat.

                . In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt. When
                  the milk mixture reaches a vigorous simmer, dump the flour mixture
                  into the pan all at once. Immediately begin stirring with a wooden

                  spoon and continue with this until the mixture thickens to a paste
                  and dries out enough that it pulls away from the sides of the pan.
