Ham and Cheddar Chowder

2 cups water
2 cups potatoes -- cubed
1/2 cup sliced carrots
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup margarine
1/4 cup flour
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 cups milk
1 can corn
1 1/2 cups ham -- cubed
In large pot, bring above water, potatoes, carrots, onion, salt & pepper
to a boil. Cover and simmer 8-10 minutes.
In med. saucepan, melt margarine. Add flour; blend 'till smooth. Add
milk. Cook and stir 'till thickened and bubbly. Add cheese, gradually.
Stir until melted. Add creamed mixture to undrained veggies. Add corn &
ham.
I usually add more cheese than it calls for. Let me know if you try it!!
