On the Measures of Academic Progress Assessment, Bethune

Elementary students in grades K-5 are making progress toward
meeting the goals of the state standards.

                1. By the end of the 2018-2019 school year, 80% of the
students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade will

score within the categories of “approaches” or greater as
determined by their Winter MAP scores as it correlates to

the NWEA 2018 Linking Study in reading.

                2. By the end of the 2018-2019 school year, 83% of the
students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade will

score within the categories of “approaches” or greater as

As we continue to improve our reading instruction at Bethune

Elementary, our teacher/administrator will gain literacy
competencies as we earn the Read to Succeed Endorsement to

assist with the development of reading.

                3. By the end of the 2018-2019 school year, 18% of the
teachers/administrator will have the Read to Succeed
(R2S) Literary Endorsement at Bethune Elementary.

According to the responses on the state surveys, students and

teachers showed fairly high levels of satisfaction with our school
climate. Even though our students are highly satisfied with our

school, we have a need to maintain and improve our chronic
               absenteeism numbers.

               4. By the end of the 2018-2019 school year, the number of
students on the Chronic Absenteeism School Report will be

reduced to 19 students according to the 90th Day Chronic
               Absenteeism School Report.
