CHECKLIST FOR SUCCESS:
● Ask if nightly homework is completed.
(Math, Spelling, Reading, Science, Social Studies, and Writing)
● Sign nightly homework.
● Quiz spelling words, vocabulary, or math facts.
● Check the agenda book or the teacher’s web page at http://www.kcsdschools.net/Domain/9 for
comments, extra assignments, or parent resources.
● Sign the agenda book.
● See all returned materials in the Friday Folder. Sign and return the folder. (If there is no work in the
folder, send a note to the teacher to find out if anything was sent home.)
● Read the class newsletter.
● Read the school newsletter for important facts, especially when interims and report cards, or other
pertinent news is being sent home.
● Read to or with your child nightly.

CHEATING POLICY: Students are not allowed to plagiarize or copy work at any time without giving credit to its
proper source. Consequences for violation of this policy are as follows:

1 offense – Teacher calls parent and student is allowed to complete a re-test.
nd
2 offense and each additional – Student receives a zero on the assignment.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: We take pride in our co-curricular activities in which a student can become
involved, such as:
Junior Beta Club Instrumental Groups Morning Show Crew Flag Crew Honors Chorus

Other activities will be announced via the school calendar, newsletter, website, and school marquee throughout
the school year.
