Middle School of Pacolet
Students from Middle School of Pacolet attended the
Anime Club at Spartanburg County Public Li-
brary. Students learned the basics of Sumi-e, tradi-
tional Japanese ink painting and created their own
masterpiece to take home.
Sixth grade math students, in Sarah Cosner’s
class at Middle School of Pacolet, had fun
playing Integer War!
Middle School of Pacolet students in Molly
O’Dell’s sixth grade math class were working
together to create large number lines with
integers. They were able to use these number
lines to show integer placement, find absolute
value, compare integers and order integers.
The Middle School of Pacolet MUSE Machine
hosted Ballet Spartanburg for a school-wide
classroom session. The Company presented a
program that aligns the technique and structure of
this art form with the exploration of the STEAM
concepts. Through the physicality of dance, the
performance incorporated science, technology,
engineering, and math in order to inspire
creativity, critical thinking, communication and
collaboration.
