projected at this time, but the committee was reminded that during the due diligence process a
net savings of $1.3M was projected for the first year.
 Cost savings benefits are being benchmarked by comparison of peer groups using available

data and comparing to the 50 and 75 percentile.
6.0 NEXT STEPS

 By mid-December all workstreams will have articulated their plans so that the critical path can
be clearly identified and implementation will begin. The implementation will include directors
as they will be the main link to front-line staff.
 A full communications strategy is being implemented. All agreed that it is important to
communicate well, even when there is not much to say.
 The executive retreat being held on October 31 will include a detailed review of back office
functions and future operating models as well as plans for re-structuring at the director level
which will occur in November.
