Th e building is organized into fi ve wings that resolve the massing into
individual elements that respect the scale and reinforce the character
of the overall campus. At two and three stories from the Greenway
side, the three “low-energy” wings defi ne two courtyards that are
integrated with and support activity along the greenway. Two four
story wings along East Campus Drive contain high-energy research
and teaching labs that are arranged to maximize both departmental
identity and interdisciplinary collaborations.
