battle and the persecution was ended. The cross before me, the

world behind me, as the song goes. A crucified life is the key to

victory. Jesus said this,

Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth

after me, is not worthy of me.

Paul expounded,

Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the

cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified

unto me, and I unto the world.

Jesus' Cross was to lay down his life taking all sin on himself.

Our cross is to lay down our life to the obedience of Christ. And

by his work on the cross it empowers us to live a life pleasing to

God. The servant is not above his master, if you have not taken

up your cross you are fallen and the cross of Christ is none

effect to you. That’s why you have no power to live for Jesus.

That is why also that many are afflicted and cannot be healed.

To reject the cross is rebellion against Christ and the wrath of

God is upon the children of disobedience.

The way of the cross is the rest of God in Christ. To not except

it will provoke him to wrath.

Hebrews 3:15-19 While it is said, Today if you will hear his

voice, harden not your hearts, as in the rebellion. For who, when

they had heard, did rebel? did not all that came out of Egypt by

Moses? But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not
