know what God is using the metaphor to represent and it may
not be according to your understanding. Proverbs 3:3-6 Let not
mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write
them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and
good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the
LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall
direct thy paths. 1 Corinthians 1:27 But God hath chosen the
foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath
chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things,
which are mighty; God has chosen things that are foolish and
hated by people. He requires things that the world hates and
goes against their education and science and common sense. 1
Corinthians 1:18 for the preaching of the cross is to them that
perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of
God. The cross is a metaphor a symbol of power. It has the
ability to take a person into the power and authority of God to
do things that are not humanly possible. Jesus said that we
should take up our cross and follow him and if we did not we
were not worthy of him. The cross is the symbol of love that
goes beyond human understanding because that kind of love is
laying down your life for others. By allowing the power of the
cross in your life, you will be saving others. A man that was
controlled by the lust of sex will destroy others by his preying
on them and using them to fulfill his need. But the power of the
