Version A
Region of Waterloo GRAPHIC STANDARDS and CORPORATE STYLE GUIDE 3 Primary Corporate Image A.
The Region’s Corporate Image consists of a stylized ’W’ graphic and logotype. The corporate name used in the new image has been shortened to “Region of Waterloo”. The wording, “The Regional Municipality of Waterloo” will be used only in conjunction with the heraldic crest and official Regional/ Council documents. The image shown on this page is the primary logo to be used to represent the Region in the majority of applications. Positioning and size relationships should not
be altered.
The logo and logotype are not to be condensed or elongated under any circumstance. There are secondary logo applications (shown on page 4) that may be used for specific applications but must have official approval.
The corporate image allows for reproduction in four colour and one colour applications (see page 6). These specified colours must be maintained whenever the image is used and any deviation from these standards may result in material being rejected at a cost to the supplier.
Size relationships between the symbol and logotype must be maintained. The grid shown on this page provides an accurate guide to ensure proper dimensions. The grid also indicates the infringement guidelines surrounding the image. Secondary graphics such as type, illustration or photography must not crowd the image inside these parameters. This will allow the image to stand out from other elements. The relationship grid can be used when developing large hand painted or mechanically produced images to ensure proper dimensions.
Do not use a grey scale conversion of the colour logo for one colour application. See one colour version on page 6.
