The Shepherd’s Boy and the Wolf
A shepherd’s boy was caring for his flock near a village. He tricked the
villagers by pretending that a wolf attacked his sheep. The boy shouted,
“Wolf, wolf!” People ran to him but he laughed at them. He repeated this
several times until the villagers ignored him. One day a wolf really walked
into the flock of sheep. The boy shouted but no-one came. The wolf killed
lots of sheep.
