“-- Yes, my dear. White wine.”
“Make it a bottle, Ileana. Thanks.”
“Very well, Sir. I’ll return with your drink and take your food orders.”
“Muchas gracias, Ileana.”

DOLPHIN DISCOVERY
That Tuesday evening -- following a series of phone conversations and text
messages -- Manuela and Alonzo visit the Dolphin Discovery. Unlike an arts museum,
the Dolphin Discovery, one of Punta Cana’s tourist attractions, caters to dolphins in
a manner that allows tourists and other visitors get closer, mingle and swim with the
creatures. Alonzo gently takes her right hand as they approach the registration desk.
“Hola, dos entradas, por favor.” (TRANSLATION: “Hello, Two tickets, please.)

and places wristbands on their wrists.
“Muchas gracias, Señor.”
