156 | N. PAUL ONUZURUIKE

Jeep roars in response, he shifts the gear to reverse, looks over his right shoulder,
and pulls out of the stall; then drives southward to his favorite spot on the lot.

The night's progressing well, until just about 22:00 hours, when a brand new,
foreign-made SUV, pulls up next to Alonzo's Jeep; however, the dark SUV takes off

once the driver makes eye contact. The sudden maneuvering appears suspect, but
the driver's unmistakable beauty and thick shoulder-length black hair are exposed
by the many -- strategically placed -- high pole parking lot lighting. Besides adding

bright illumination, the commercial parking lot lights make the Supercenter's public
areas, walkways, and shopping more secure and welcoming. She's African American.
From the unmistakable look, along with the dark top, swift move and fortitude, she

the parking lot -- only to circle in the opposite direction and stops at two stalls (east
of Alonzo's Jeep); then kills the ignition to her SUV.

Later, a casually dressed CAUCASIAN MALE, 20s, well kept, and wearing black

jeans with red T-shirt and dark dress shoes, walks with short, confident steps toward
Alonzo's Jeep. The Male attempts to open the front passenger door, but it is
inaccessible and, earnestly he moves away when he realizes it was the wrong SUV. A
few steps later, with a cell phone to his right ear, the Male turns left toward the

foreign-made SUV, opens the front passenger door, and disappears inside. In the
interim, Alonzo can only imagine what's going on in the other SUV. What a lucky
White Bastard begins to play in his head. He wishes he was the lucky bastard with
the chocolate Beauty in the SUV. However, he cannot afford it -- let alone -- the luxury
