HR CONFERENCE ROOM - 11:52 HOURS.

The appointed time arrives. Mrs. McDaniel (Board President), and the Chairs

of Finance Committee, Development Committee, and the Board Counsel & Secretary
arrive for their lunch meeting with Alonzo. Except for the vice-president and
treasurer, the ‘Welcoming Committee’ comprises of the Foundation’s key Executive
Committee members -- the board president, key committee chairpersons, and

Counsel/Secretary.

Promptly getting on his feet, “Mrs. McDaniel … Nice to finally meet you.”

“Same here, Alonzo …” extending her right hand. The Matriarch and voice of
McDaniel Family Foundation (McD) is responsible for ensuring the appropriate
evaluation of the ED; leading McD board’s growth and development through a
functional governance committee that provides additional assurance that the

Foundation is working effectively toward furthering its mission; and motivating,
facilitating effective meetings and crafting a good meeting agenda, in concert with
the ED.
