“Mrs. da Silva,” extending his right hand.
“Maria ... Please call me, Maria,” shaking Alonzo’s hand.
“Maria is Chair of the Finance Committee, and member of the Executive
Committee.”
“It’s an honor to meet you --”
“-- Same here,” the Portuguese-American gradually retrieves her hand.
“Next, Larry Bell is the board Counsel and Secretary.”
“Mr. Bell,” extending both hands. “It is an honor to meet you.”
“Same here, Alonzo. I’ve heard great things about you.” As he retrieves his
hand, “Glad to have you with us.”
“Thank you, Mr. Bell.”
“You’re welcome,” makes way for the fourth and last board member.
“And this one you need to watch,” referring to Dr. Jeffrey Cleveland.
“Welcome to the Family,” extending his right hand.
