“Jeffrey is the Chair of the Development Committee.”
As chair of the Development Committee, Dr. Cleveland will be working closely
with Alonzo to increase the Foundation’s visibility, within and outside of its reach,
and generate additional revenue to help the Foundation achieve its mission. And to
succeed, Alonzo will need Dr. Cleveland as one of his most trusted allies.
Gently, a tap on the door, and Carmen slowly opens the conference room door.
She sticks her head inside, “the Caterers are here.”
“Right on time. I am famished … Let them in, my Dear.”
“Yes, Ma’am,” opens the door, and usher the caterers in.

The executive director position is a true and economic lifeline for Alonzo who
struggled for months to regain his bearing. As executive director (ED) and chief
executive officer (CEO) of McDaniel Family Foundation, he designs, develops and
implements strategic plans for the Foundation as well as is responsible for the
day-to-day operation of the nonprofit as demonstrated in the recruitment and
discharge of staff, program management and development, business office activities,
marketing and public relations, facility oversight, and volunteer management --
including the efficient management of administrative aspects around the board, its
committees and staff -- leading the Foundation to achieve its mission.
