Hostess Service Committee

The Hostess Service Committee has been assigned to serve at the
sorority’s monthly business meetings. This committee is chaired by
the General Hostess Service Committee Chairman.

General Hostess Service Committee Responsibilities:

• Give oversight and support to the monthly hostess service
committees.
• Identify/solicit monthly hostess service committee chairman
and co-chairmen for each regularly scheduled monthly
meeting.
• Select and acquire birthday gifts for sorors.
• Prepare a badge for each financial soror.
• Provide hostess committee ribbons for each monthly hostess
service committee.
• On meeting day, notify Basileus when quorum has been
achieved (1/4 of the financial membership).
• Chairman should plan to attend the Executive Board Meeting
on the Wednesday before sorority meeting at 6:30 pm at the
Power Center.

Each month’s Hostess Service Committee has a chairman and two
co-chairmen. Each month’s listing of Hostess Service Committee
members will be developed from an alphabetical listing of the financial
membership roster using a range of the sorors’ last names over a 12-
month period.
