Iris
In Greek mythology, Iris is the personification of the rainbow
(light spectrum) and messenger of the gods (carrier of
information). The Iris X-ray Inspection System is available in
three standard pipe sizes:
• The Iris 150 has a 1½ inch pipe
• The Iris 250 a 2½ inch pipe
• The Iris 300 has a 3 inch pipe
Sparc Systems have introduced the Iris X-ray pipeline inspection
system to provide superior safety through contamination
detection of glass, metal, mineral stone, calcified bone, and high
density plastic, in pumped food applications in the early stages
of the production process. X-ray inspection minimises the risk of
product recalls, protecting consumers from harm and
safeguarding brand reputation.
The meat and poultry industry has some of the harshest
operating conditions and most demanding processes in food
manufacture and processing. There is ever increasing
consumer and legislative pressure to ensure safety and product
quality. The Iris pipeline X-ray inspection system meets this
demand and takes the state of the art to the next level.
Compliance with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Points
(HACCP) and other quality control methods means it is essential
for manufacturers to keep accurate records. Our intuitive
software provides step-by-step guidance for simple, accurate
and efficient quality assurance testing and record keeping.

Typical pumped meat and poultry products include muscle
meats, ground meat, sausage meat and poultry trims such as
breast fillets and thigh meat that may contain chicken bones.
X-ray pipeline inspection for slurries, semi-solids and fluids
Contaminants within slurries, semi-solids and fluids are varied.
Depending upon the application, the Iris Pipeline X-ray
Inspection System can detect contaminants down to 0.5mm.
