STATEWIDE IMPACT
Our New Lansing Office
is Open for Business
he Nussdorfer Center is Samaritas’ central facility in the Lansing region where we serve
families and children through foster care services, adoption services, and refugee youth.
TThis building was a gift from the Nussdorfer family.
Samaritas uses about 15,000 square feet of the building today. And with the renovations,
nearly 4,000 square feet of space was added. A modern conference center with a commercial
kitchen area was a key addition to help us host large-scale agency meetings and to collaborate
in person with teams from across the state in a central location.
The Nussdorfer Conference Center also serves to host important purposes like board
meetings and training sessions for Samaritas employees across the state. The plan is to open
the conference center to other organizations in the future.
New office furniture, cubicles and furnishings throughout the facility will give our teams
an up-to-date and effective work environment that will help Samaritas recruit and
empower the best employees to serve our clients. An outdoor patio was also built,
with new furniture so staff and families can enjoy the outdoors.
We are blessed to have financial support from many donors, including those
with named spaces in the newly renovated building. A small reception honoring
those funders was held on October 7, to unveil those spaces and give donors and
supporters an opportunity to see the improvement firsthand.
