MUSKEGON AFFORDABLE LIVING SNEAK PEEK

The newest affordable living property in
the Samaritas portfolio will officially open
on December 1. Residents, applicants
and other interested parties who toured
this building back in October are excited
to move into the new modern space.
This brand new gorgeous senior living
community contains 53 one-bedroom
apartments and is now ready for eligible
residents.

This new community could not have
happened without the help of Mercantile
Bank. Earlier this year they partnered
with Samaritas Affordable Living to obtain
$960,000 in Affordable Housing Program
grants to provide housing for seniors 55+
in Muskegon and fund renovations to the
Samaritas Affordable Living of Alpena.
The bank also committed $33,000 in
additional donations.

this up-and-coming area of Muskegon

FAMILY PRESERVATION GETS A NEW SPACE

The new Samaritas Affordable Living community in Muskegon will
also house a Samaritas Family Preservation office on the first floor
via a separate entrance.
Samaritas Family Preservation programs are designed to guide
parents toward creating a satisfying, nurturing home life for the
entire family, to keep children in their natural setting with their
biological parents.

We work to achieve this harmony by offering several services
to focus on the strengths of the family. Some services include
counseling for individuals, couples or the entire family; play
therapy; advocacy; respite and psychiatric care and more. In some
cases, this care is offered through Michigan-based coalitions like Families First of Michigan,
Family Reunification, Families Together Building Solutions, Homebuilders and Safecare.

We have openings in family preservation for people interested in keeping families strong and viable.
